Matching co-ords never entirely go away. There’s always a pant-suit, shorts-blouse pair hanging in our wardrobe ready to do its thing. Why does it never go away? It works. It’s a safe bet and can easily be carried off by fashion veterans and newbies. It’s easy to shop too. You don’t have to worry about styling much as the outfit takes center stage. The matching co-ords set is always lingering, ready for a new hot take. This year we’ve been eyeing so many versions. There’s the oversized blazer, loose pants, printed cami and shorts, and crop tops with skirts. So much to choose from.
The reigning queens of Instagram – Kylie, Kendall, the Hadid sisters, and Hailey Bieber, to name a few, have all been spotted in many matching co-ord sets. We’re thrilled to share some fantastic pieces so you can shop and look on point.
We’re going to start by talking about this retro Gucci co-ord set that is super chic. It features a jacket and a mini skirt made from checked tweed with a soft lining; it ensures comfort. We love the beige color and iconic red and green web trims. The look can be worn to work, to lunch, or tea. It has appropriately written all over it, and we love the Blair-Waldorf-Would-Wear-This vibe. Accessorize with some matching pumps and gold-tone jewels to own it.
Let’s move on to something more relaxed from proper attire. Valentino does great matching co-ords. While looking for some new season matching pieces, we came across this bouclé monogrammed bralette and matching shorts that were hard to ignore. They make a case for monogrammed separates that work without overdoing it. The bralette trend has been in since Spring 2022, and we also did an earlier blog about it. The cut makes so much sense for the summer; show off your body or create a fabulous look after all the winter layering. The silhouette is clean and neat, which gets us a big thumbs up!
