The one summer trend that has both A list celebs and royalty hooked
From top fashion influencers like Tiffany Hsu to Kylie Jenner and even Royalty, we’ve seen gorgeous versions of the puff sleeved dress grace our fashion feeds this summer. We’ve seen mini to maxi versions with small or elongated puffs, printed or monotone colours – they all work a wonder.
This has to be fashion’s easiest trend to follow this year, as there’s so much to choose from.
We particularly like the square necklines and waist emphasizing smock detailed versions like that worn by Kylie Jenner. A midi version close to this is by ‘The Great’ that features a tiered cotton-voile flowing midi base.
We’ve picked out some of our favourites to help you get started. The one sleeve wonder by Lisa Marie Fernandez is a fun take on a maxi dress. With a ruffled neckline and a detachable sash belt, this is perfect for dining al fresco.
The patchwork floral crepe de chine dress from Preen by Thornton Bregazzi is cut from recycled swatches from the brand’s archives. It features a collared neckline with beautiful puff sleeves and a drawstring waistline.
Then there is the raffia trimmed native tribes dress by Johanna Ortiz. Made in a soft organic blend, locally produced in Colombia, make this an excellent buy. It is an easy day to night number that can be dressed up or down to match your mood and is sure to never let you down.
Draped mini by Rhode called ‘Pia’ is a fun dress that will help to enhance your curves with a gathered side drape. Drooping puffed sleeves along with patchwork florals make this a hard to forget number.
The ‘Juliet’ floral print poplin dress by Borgo De Nor has puff sleeves that sit beautifully off-the-shoulder. The dress embodies a romantic elegance that is sure to get a few hearts fluttering. It is the perfect summer dress for date night.
