Strappy Heels are here to stay - but how high will you go?
From Amina Muaddi to Bottega and Gianvito Rossi, we’ve been onto the strappy heel trend these designers have set ablaze. The strappy heel/ sandal trend that started somewhere in 2019 with barely-there straps has now been elevated to straps that go as high as your knees – yeap! What’s your verdict on these sky high straps? Would you give them a try? We’ve been observing influencers and celebrities alike giving it a go and they seem to love it . Riri stepped into 2021 wearing the #AwgeXAminaMuaddi gladiator strap heels, that go all the way over your knees. Not to forget the #FentyxAmina collab that gave us the Cage and Braid sandals to begin with. The Gianvito Rossi SS21 collection saw lots of strappy heels and gladiators too which cemented our thoughts on the popularity of these shoes – they’re here to stay! It’s definitely an edgy trend. Not for everyone. But those who are daring enough to carry it off, look super hot and on point. Francesco Russo also has a mean T Bar strap sandal that goes all the way up to your knees. Frankly, we love it. There’s just the added concern of finding a dress it would look great under. But oh, well! Who said being fashionable was easy? Giuseppe Zanotti’s Vanilla Punk sandals are a crisscross heaven. We’re just wondering how long does it take to put a pair on? They look edgy with small buckles and a stilleto.
